Gaby’s casual practice of yoga in college developed into a lifestyle that supported her through four years of teaching special education at an urban charter school. When she first began yoga, she was apprehensive; sitting still and moving slowly were a challenge. Long hours and a high-stress work environment pushed her to turn to yoga for solace. After experiencing the physical and emotional benefits of yoga, she decided to deepen her practice by completing her 200 Hour RYT certification (Alchemy of Yoga) in July 2017. Gaby combined her love of travel and culture with yoga and completed her training spending three weeks in Nosara, Costa Rica. Yoga provided her with a space to focus on self-care and prioritize healthy living. Gaby sought to share her experience with yoga and education, by bringing yoga to schools. Often referred to as a fun leader, she uses engaging playlists, lots of smiles and a strong sense of community to hold both tranquil and energizing space for teachers, students and urban working professionals.

Vision
Life is hard. Yoga helps. But really, yoga solves many problems. Amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, Gaby hopes people can use yoga as a vehicle to slow down, get strong, and focus on self-care. She brings a positive and calming energy to the room that not only builds community, but also adds some fun.
Teaching is hard. Yoga helps. Gaby is passionate about the positive effects of yoga and hopes to use yoga and mindfulness to decrease teacher turnover and make schools feel happy, healthy and productive. Teachers that feel better, teach better. Students that feel better, learn better.
